Meet Emily

Threshold

Take a moment… to breathe, to arrive, to let the noise of the world settle.

You’ve stepped into a place where the wildness within you meets the wildness around you. Where Spirit stirs through wind and memory, where soil holds stories older than breath, and where the Holy hums in the understory of your life.

Wild Soles is a sanctuary for those longing to move more slowly, listen more deeply, and reconnect with the luminous thread that weaves inner life, sacred presence, and the living Earth.

Wild Soles is an earth-honoring spiritual companioning practice. It is a weaving of wild spiritual guidance, nature therapy, Celtic and seasonal rhythms, contemplative writing, and rituals shaped by the meeting place of Spirit and soil. All offerings are trauma-aware, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, interfaith-friendly, and open to all seekers.

It’s a place for those who feel the stirrings of something deeper — a longing to reconnect with the sacred, to rekindle intimacy with the natural world, to live with more presence, or to find grounding in seasons of transition, grief, upheaval, or awakening. Here, you are invited to slow down, listen deeply, and remember the wild, holy wisdom already alive within and around you.

You belong.
To yourself.
To the land.
To the Holy.
To a story larger than your own.

This page is the beginning.
The rest is a path you choose as you go.

I’m Emily Bass — a Spiritual Companion, Nature Therapy Guide, Wisconsin Master Naturalist, writer, and minister shaped by the meeting of Spirit and soil. My formation is rooted in Christian mysticism, Celtic spirituality, Druidic study, eco-theology, and the contemplative arts. I am guided by the slow wisdom of the land, the teachings of the Desert Mothers and Fathers, the shimmering viriditas of Hildegard, and the gentle, sensory intimacy of nature therapy practice.

I walk with people who long for an embodied, earth-rooted spirituality, one that welcomes mystery, tenderness, grief, and the wild edges of a life that is always stirring.

If you feel drawn to a grounded, earth-centered, Spirit-honoring way of being, you are not alone. Welcome. There’s space for you here.

“I felt genuinely heard in a way I didn’t know I needed. Instead of being given answers, I was given space to discover my own connection with Spirit.”

“I’ve always loved nature, but I realized I had never actually been present with it. Slowing down with intention changed something in me. I want to keep practicing that.”

“Being on the land in this way helped me feel my life again, not just think about it. I left more grounded, more alive, and more at home in myself.”

A spacious, soulful tending of your inner life. Through deep listening, contemplative presence, and earth-rooted practices, we explore your questions, griefs, joys, and thresholds with tenderness and curiosity.

Slow, sensory immersion with the living world. Guided invitations and gentle rhythms help you attune to your senses, settle your nervous system, deepen intimacy with place, and rekindle awe.

Gatherings shaped by the turning of the seasons and the Celtic Wheel. Small-group rituals, prayer, reflection, and sensory practice woven with story, Earth wisdom, and sacred time.

Wonder and Reverence

Cultivating curiosity and awe. Allowing mystery, beauty, and the unexpected to soften us and open us to the sacred.

Stirring Storied Dust

A gathering of stories, haiku, prayers, and contemplative reflections stirred from my wanderings in the Driftless hills of Wisconsin and the desert landscapes that shaped my becoming.
